Headphones are a pair of tiny loudspeakers tool by holding them close to the user's ear as a means to connect them to an audio signal source such as an amplifier, radio or CD player. This tool is also known as stereophones and headsets.
In the context of telecommunication, the term headset is used to describe a combination of headphone and microphone used for two-way communication, for example by telephone. Headphones are developed from hearing aids.
Headphones are also the only way to hear the audio signals before amplifiers were developed. Headphones can be used either with equipment such as CD or DVD player, home theater, personal computers or portable devices (eg digital audio player / mp3 players, cell phones, etc.).
Headphones can also be used in professional activities with a disc jockey DJ mixer for monitoring the sound source. In the radio studio, a DJ is also using a pair of headphones when talking to the microphone so it can hear and monitor their own voices.
In recording studios, musicians and singers use headphones to listen to music that suits the songs they sing and play.
